General Ledger, Journals and Budgets
The general ledger is the central recording area for all modules included with
Inerva® Enterprise Finance. The general ledger system in Enterprise Finance
provides a very flexible chart of accounts, journals, budgets and reporting to
simplify and automate the often complex business environment.
Inerva Enterprise Finance general ledger provides the clearest view of you
accounts with its well-defined chart hierarchy and live balances in all views.
Automatic roll-up balances are always current for normal posting accounts and
control accounts. The chart of accounts feature gives you the freedom to define
any number of posting and control accounts. The chart of accounts can be
arranged in a hierarchy that has no bounds.
Clearly identified account classes ensure account asset, liability, equity,
income, and expense accounts are visually differentiated with individual icons
and colours. Enterprise Finance gives your accounting staff the most intuitive
functionality available.
Segmented account reporting means any profit and loss account entry from general
journal or automated entries from other modules can be recorded against any
number of cost centres without the need for lengthy posting accounts in the main
GL.
Account templates make it easy to apportion income or expenses to a number of
accounts throughout the chart automatically. Use the account templates in any
other module that posts to the general ledger including payroll.
A flexible budget system allows you to create any number of draft budgets for
any given period. Set up a new budget from another draft or from actual figures.
Report from a number of what-if budgets or split year-to-date with projected.
